We charge $2 a page to beta your writing.
For our purposes, a page means a Word document page, in a standard 12 point font, spaced at 1.5 lines. Don't worry, if you've used a different format, we'll take care of that for you when we get your document. The guidelines above make it easiest for us to edit and for you to read what we've done.

FAQ's
Q. What exactly does a beta do for me?
A. A beta will help you get your manuscript polished up and ready for the next stage of its journey to publication. This includes, but isn't limited to, proofreading and story editing. That means we'll correct your grammar, spelling and punctuation, and we'll also point out the story's strengths and weaknesses. If something you write is especially striking or moving, we'll tell you. If something your character does is confusing or hard to believe, we'll tell you.
Q. So what does that leave for a professional editor to do?
A. If you want your story to be published, it has to go to the agent or publisher the very best it can be. That's where we come in, but that doesn't mean your story's journey is finished. A professional editor will do deep editing on your story, meaning he or she will suggest alterations in character development, plot points, or the very structure or theme of your story. Remember, those editors want to make your book sellable. Your betas want your story to be its absolute best.
Q. Can I give your services as a gift to another writer?
A. Absolutely! Just contact us and we'll arrange it all for you!
Sincere Feedback From Our Clients
"I never really properly thanked you for the work done on my chapters. When I first read your notes on chapter 2 about the plot being too rushed, her acceptance too easy, it did upset me a bit. But after putting it aside for a bit and going back, I could see how farfetched it was and reworked the ending of chapter 2 to fit better. With as long as the story is already, I couldn't afford to drag out the scene further, but I did change it to where she isn't so accepting and at the end she's still questioning if it's even real. It will require a bit of rewriting in future chapters but I'd rather do more re-writing and have a better book and for that I can't thank you enough. I did have some financial issues with my mother in law passing away so I wasn't able to send more chapters but I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate it all the thought you put into it instead of just fixing the technical stuff, not many would have done so much, you (and your team) are truly gems!"
"Thank you so much again!"

"I've been working on my novel for nine years, and one of the reasons I've had such little progress is that I haven't had anyone to give me critical feedback on what I've written, or suggestions on directions I can take with the storyline and characters. No Discliamer's Beta Services has changed all of that. They have given excellent feedback that is not just critical, like I need, but also positive and encouraging. They have pointed out mistakes that I didn't even realize I was making, and now that I do, my writing has improved by leaps and bounds. For the first time since I started writing this novel, I feel like I have a real chance to finally complete it. Even better, I have real hope that my writing is professional enough to even be published."
